Writersblock: Volatile

I told myself I would join the PostAWeek2011 challenge but I’ve already missed two weeks. I will try better to update my blog more often. I will try my best to make an entry for this week.

This post though is not part of the PostAWeek2011 challenge. It is a story which is part of the For Fear and Hope of Love and Loss series. I’ve posted three stories before which are also part of this series. For more information on it, you can access our story blog: FaerysLair.

This story is the Koren-Gyn friendshippy fic I mentioned in my last WritersBlock post. Hopefully, I’ve managed to get Koren and Gyn’s dynamics well. This story took me around 5 months to finish so I really hope I did well.

Anyway, I’ve been babbling on long enough. Enjoy!

Notes: MWPP. This particular story took me quite a while to write. I’ve had the dynamics of Koren and Gyn’s relationship in my mind but I couldn’t seem to convey it right. I’ve re-written this story so many times since I started it. Hopefully, I was able to show their relationship with each other well.

Writersblock: Rising Faith Doomed Fate (Rewrite)

This is a rewrite of a story written by a high school friend currently found on Faeryslair.

I’ve been working on my thesis for the past few weeks and I haven’t been able to find the time to write. I’m currently working on the Koren-Gyn friendship story but I’m only able to write something little per day. I want Gyn and Koren’s dynamics to be perfect. Anyway, I found some time yesterday after I finished Chapter 2 of my thesis proposal and decided to finish this rewrite.

It was difficult to make this rewrite due to the fact that I wasn’t the original writer. I had to make sure that my friend’s original point still came across at the same time, I had to reconcile Koren’s depiction of the characters to mine. I’m kind of not sure about the story but I do know that I do like how it turned out.

Writersblock: To Feel Your Lips

This is actually a re-write of the untitled Koren – Yfel story I posted last July 21, 2010.

I have lots of plot bunnies lurking in my mind (a Koren-Yfel one, a Koren-Snape one, and a Koren-Gyn friendshippy one) but I haven’t been able to completely expound on the ideas. So, I couldn’t start them. But since I really wanted to write something today, I decided to re-write this story.

Hopefully, this re-write is better than the one I wrote around 7 years ago. That’s the point of re-writing isn’t it? I, for one, do kind of like how it turned out.

Writersblock: Hello Fascination

This little story has been sitting in my mind for almost a week now. For some reason, I couldn’t find the words to put it into writing. Then yesterday, I heard Yfel’s thoughts in my mind, like he was trying to write himself out. I didn’t immediately sit down and write his thoughts though. I let it brew some more and some time in the middle of the night, despite the fact that I have a cold, the cogs in my brain worked to let this drabble out.

Writersblock: Untitled Koren-Yfel Story

I was looking at my old files, searching for pictures of a friend who is celebrating her birthday in a few days. As I was searching, I stumbled upon this little one-shot I wrote years ago for Writersblock. I actually thought I’d long since lost my only copy of this so suffice to say, I was definitely surprised to find this. And because I’m in a sharing mood today, I’m posting this for everyone to see.
