I was looking at my old files, searching for pictures of a friend who is celebrating her birthday in a few days. As I was searching, I stumbled upon this little one-shot I wrote years ago for Writersblock. I actually thought I’d long since lost my only copy of this so suffice to say, I was definitely surprised to find this. And because I’m in a sharing mood today, I’m posting this for everyone to see.

Still Untitled, A For Fear and Hope of Love and Loss Story
By Professor Keiadara Wildfire
Plot bunnies care of Koren and Gin so Mera, please don’t kill me.
“No mum! Fine! Goodbye!” and a hand slammed down on the wooden table causing some papers to fly and fall down on the floor.
“Koren…” A gentle voice rang through the air.
“Thank you very much Professor Dumbledore,” Koren said as she hurriedly walked out of the headmaster’s office.
“Damn her. She won’t even explain it and she expects me to just get along with her. She’s got another thing coming,” Koren hissed despite the few stray tears that were already flowing down her cheeks.
Koren continued to blur past the other students in the hallways. She went down a lengthy flight of stairs letting her legs take her to her destination. She bumped into students but unceasingly walked on not even acknowledging the other students. She stopped as soon as she reached the end of a long dark dank corridor.
A concealed door opened revealing the forest green common room of the Slytherin house. Koren walked inside and gave a relieved sigh seeing the empty common room. Koren sat down on the sofa as more tears flooded from her eyes and soon, Koren was crying.
“Stupid rule. Stupid family.” Koren punched her upper thigh in frustration as she cried on.
A hand landed on Koren’s shoulder and on instinct, she stood and drew her sword, pointing the tip of her weapon to the intruder’s neck.
“It won’t do any good. I’m immortal,” the voice said smoothly.
Koren looked up and was greeted by the concerned face of the half-vampire Slytherin. Koren sheathed her sword and sat back down.
“What are you doing here? Aren’t you supposed to be with your sister?” Koren asked staring into the blazing green fire of the common room fireplace.
“That’s not important. Why are you crying?” Yfel asked, sitting down beside the crying girl.
“None of your damn business Tatsumaki,” Koren hissed.
“Alright,” Yfel said leaning back on the sofa and kept silent.
Koren looked down and let her tears flow down. She sneaked a peek at Yfel who was looking at her intently. Koren immediately looked away and muttered something incoherent. Koren was startled when Yfel gathered Koren in his arms. At first, Koren fought and tried to pull away from the hug but Yfel’s slim but strong arms stopped her. In the end, Koren gave in to the hug and buried her head in his chest.
Yfel didn’t say a word as he hugged Koren. Koren’s sobs were subsiding and shortly, her cry was reduced to mere sniffling. Soon after, there was only silence in the common room. Yfel and Koren stayed in the hug reveling in the comfortable silence that lingered in the air.
Koren shook her head against Yfel’s chest and clutched Yfel’s shirt in her hands. Yfel jumped a little when he felt something warm on his cold chest. Yfel dismissed it as nothing but soon felt something warm on his chest again, only this time a bit higher than the one before. Yfel looked down at the black-haired girl in front of him and was taken aback as Koren kissed Yfel fully on the lips.
Yfel stiffened for a moment but slowly kissed back. Koren pushed Yfel on his back and continued on kissing the half-vampire. Yfel wrapped his arms around Koren’s waist and held her tightly. Koren broke the kiss and took Yfel’s already loosened tie off. Yfel didn’t resist and let the half-succubus have her way.
“Ralde’s going to blow if she finds out about this,” Yfel whispered.
Koren once again kissed Yfel while her hands were busy unbuttoning Yfel’s shirt. Once they were undone, Koren kissed Yfel on the neck and slowly worked her way down to his chest. Yfel took Koren’s sweater off and unbuttoned Koren’s blouse after taking off her tie. Yfel’s hands were running up and down her back and fumbled with the clasp of Koren’s bra. Koren was pulled up by Yfel and enveloped her lips in another kiss.
Koren unbuttoned her skirt and took it off. Koren gave a muffled cry as her eyes suddenly snapped open and she pulled away from the kiss.
(A/N: I promised myself to keep it PG – 13. I don’t have a death wish.)
Koren got off Yfel and gathered her clothes.
“I shouldn’t be doing this,” Koren said hastily putting her clothes back on.
Yfel stared at Koren as he buttoned his shirt.
“I can’t do this.”
A slight nod from Yfel.
“I have to go,” Koren stuttered as soon as she had her clothes back on and disappeared out of the Slytherin common room.
A stunned Yfel stared at the spot Koren was standing on. He gave a sigh and proceeded to gaze at the glowing green fire of the fireplace.
